Camden is one of London's hippest suburbs with a vibrant alternative music scene and fantastic shopping. There are few visitors to London who don’t know to visit Camden Lock and its famous markets; around 500,000 visitors come here per week. The area itself is a haven for artists and musicians, with the old warehouses being some of the first in the city to be converted into studios and venues.
Camden market is definitely worth a look if its boho chic you’re after. At weekends the canal and its surrounding streets are covered with stalls selling their products from across the world. Through the heavy mist of incense, you can find fabulous jewellery, hand made clothes and accessories, and a competitively priced array of leather and street fashion.
If you’re on for a big night out, you simply have to go to Camden Palace, this is one of London’s top clubbing venues. It used to be an old theatre building so you can imagine the amazing interior and there's no lack of space.
