Earls Court

Earls Court lies to the north of Fulham, and though architecturally it is very similar to neighbouring Kensington, it has a rather different character. For many years it was known as Roo Valley because of the number of Australians who made their temporary home here. It was also the centre of the capitals gay life, until Old Compton Street stole that mantle.

However, most people find themselves in this neck of the woods because they are here to see an exhibition at either Earls Court Exhibition Centre, or the Olympia, although the new Excel centre at Canary Wharf is now Londons leading conference and exhibition venue.

This is still a popular area for visitors to London and there are plenty of accommodation options for all budgets. It is well placed for nipping in and out of the West End and the rest of London is easily accessible by tube or bus.
