Romford is located 14 miles from London it is famous for its huge open air market which dates back to Medieval times; here you can purchase almost anything.
The town has a very vibrant nightlife, but if you want to take it a bit easier, why not visit the Golden Lion Pub on the edge of the market, which dates back to 1440. You can enjoy a nice quiet pint and have some great home cooked food.
A great night out can be had at the Romford Greyhound Stadium. Here you can rub shoulders with footballers, assorted celebrities and “professional cockneys”. Stand trackside or enjoy a meal at the plush Chase Restaurant.
Lakeside Thurrock is one of the country’s most popular shopping centres and features over 300 stores, 30 cafes, a chapel, cinemas and a 26 acre lake complete with a Padi certified diving school.
