Bourton-on-the-Water is a lovely village and one of the most popular in the Cotswolds. The River Windrush flows straight through the centre and so it is often know as the Venice of the Cotswolds.
There are beautiful wooden bridges crossing the river throughout the village that creates a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere, best enjoyed in the quieter times of day and quieter months of the year.
The village has many houses and cottages, many of them three hundred years old, some dating back to Elizabethan times four hundred years ago.
