Castle Combe can be found just a few miles northeast of Chippenham. This village is considered to be one of the prettiest in England and is right on the edge of the English Cotswolds.
It’s hard to imagine that the picturesque village was once a small, busy town, Castle Combe played a big part in the wool trade in the middle Ages, which increased the growth of the town dramatically.
The village has many beautiful stone buildings including the Dower House, the White Hart and the lovely church. A lot of the buildings are hundreds of years old and are listed as ancient monuments.
