Painswick is one of the gems of the Cotswolds. The small village sits on its hillside, with the beautiful church spire and striking churchyard the focus of this distinctive village.
The village contains many notable houses which were built in the prosperous seventeenth century, there are also many little streets to explore and quaint shops to visit.
Just outside of the town is the well known Rococo Gardens, which are hidden in a brilliant 6 acre valley. The gardens are the last sole survivor from the brief early 18th century period of English Rococo Garden design.
