West Bromwich is a small town in the English county of the West Midlands, it's five miles northwest of Birmingham, and so is a perfect place to escape from the manic city.
West Bromwich is best known for its football club, West Bromwich Albion or the Baggies as they are also known. This once great side is now struggling to keep up with the pace in the money-mad premiership and is unlikely to be able to force its way among the league’s regular teams. Comedian Frank Skinner is probably the Baggies most famous supporter.
The Barber Institute of Fine Arts is a great gallery to visit if your a lover of art, it is one of the world's finest small art galleries and has an outstanding collection of old and modern paintings, drawings and sculpture. The gallery is usually not as busy as the ones in the centre so it is a perfect place to escape to if you want some quiet time getting lost in the fantastic works.
