West Kirby and Hoylake are at the end of the Wirral peninsula and boast miles of award winning sandy beaches and great views of North Wales.
From West Kirby you can walk across to the Hibre Islands, which are only true islands for about four hours each day. If you are unsure of the tides ask at the Wirral Park visitor centre in Thurstaston before you set off but having arrived safely you should see seals, waders and migratory birds.
Whilst in the area you should pay a visit to Wirral Country Park, it is home to the former West Kirby railway line which is now a grassy footpath. The Park is full of fantastic wildlife in the woodland areas and has superb views across to the Clwydian Mountains.
