Little outward evidence remains of Blackburn’s textile heritage though it is featured in the Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery and Lewis Textile Museum complex, which also boasts over 1,000 Japanese prints, a good selection of paintings and sculptures as well as an award winning Asian Gallery of textiles, jewellery & furniture.

Witton Country Park is a 480-acre parkland which has a wide range of activities, plenty of picnic sites and loads of walks and trails to follow. The park also has treasure trails and some spectacular view points.

Blackburn like Bolton has a premiership football team, Blackburn Rovers who have a large and loyal fan base. You can take a tour around Ewood Park -the teams home for a small charge and you can explore everywhere even into the teams' locker room and hospitality suite.
