Situated at the top of the Antrim Glens area at the mouth of the River Dall, Cushendall is a touristy village with a small, shingle beach.
The town itself has an interesting red sandstone tower and attractive church ruins, but the main attractions lie in using Cushendall as a base to explore the surrounding area.
Nearby Glenariff Forest Park has a stunning waterfall walkway and several marked and less-well marked walks and is well worth visiting. The Antrim Glens are also worth an exploration day; don’t forget to take your camera!
