Overview

Balmaha is a bustling, often very busy place unless you catch it out of season. It is located on the east coast of Loch Lomond and is popular with day trippers from Glasgow.

Boat trips leave from Balmaha for Inchcailloch Island which is right in the middle of the loch. The island offers a variety of historical castle ruins and provides a stunning picnic site ideal for barbecue’s.

The views from the summit of the island Northwards are spectacular.
