Elie

Elie has much more the feel of a holiday resort about it than the traditional fishing villages which are scattered along the coast. It is also a popular getaway for the well-heeled from Edinburgh and Dundee, many of whom have holiday homes in adjoining Earlsferry.

An essential stop in Elie is the friendly and relaxed Ship Inn, it over looks the the beach and is next to the harbour, you'll find fantastic food here and in the summer you can enjoy the lively banter in the beer garden.

The town has some lovely sandy beaches and there are a decent assortment of activities on offer from pedalo hire to surfboards and canoes. There is also a small activity centre with boating and a sailing club.
