Glenshee or Gleann Shith, (Gaelic for Glen of the Fairies), is located in the highlands of eastern Perth and Kinross and is home to Scotland's largest ski-ing centre and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the UK.
Glenshee Ski Centre is located on either side of the Cairnwell Pass and offers 21 lifts and 36 runs with a diversity of natural terrain for all standards of skiers and snowboarders.
The Spittal of Glenshee at the head of Glenshee, is a small village that has become a centre for travel, tourism and winter sports in the region. The village also provides a stopping place on the Cateran Trail, a waymarked long distance footpath which provides a 64 mile (103km) circuit through the glens of Perthshire and Angus. For the more enthusiastic hiker there are 21 Munros to explore within a 14 mile radius of the Cairnwell pass.
