A stretch of white sandy beaches along the coast at and around Arisaig leaves a feeling of the unspoilt beauty of nature that will captivate travellers.
The quiet Arisaig has very little happening, however if you set your base up here or in Morar and take the slow coast road to explore the area, you will find a string of pristine beaches with scenery depicting brilliantly turquoise ocean spotted with rocky seaweed covered outcrops and a plethora of wildlife.
The Prince's Cairn is on the road to the Isles, it marks the spot where Bonnie Prince Charles left Scotland to sail to France in 1746. The pretender was on the run from the government and had been for 5months, since the Battle of Culloden.
