If you are in the area, you will find lingering remnants of Kyle of Lochalsh's history as a thriving fishing village scattered though out the local streets of the town.
The Skye Road Bridge is an attraction in it's self; it is a popular way to get from the mainland Kyle of Lochalsh to Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. Before it was built in 1995 access to Skye was only available by ferry.
However, these days there is little happening in the town and visitors should pass through the somewhat unassuming Kyle of Lochalsh to reach one of Britain's most famous and celebrated sights, the Eilean Donan Castle.
