If the wild and rugged terrain of Harris isn't your cup of tea, the more remote North Uist will be your thing. It is seventeen miles long and thirteen miles wide and is much flatter than the other islands.
The Island is largely covered by water and offers some of the best trout and salmon fishing and deerstalking. This is one of the major reasons visitors come to North Uist.
It isn't all fishing and hunting here, North Uist has a great selection of ancient ruins, gorgeous lonely beaches and countless opportunities for nature watching.
