Although both being of the larger of the Isle of Orkney, Eday and Sanday have little in comparison to their neighbouring islands and are best visited for a day or two.
Head to the northern part of Eday, for some descent site seeing and bird watching, on the Eday Heritage Walk. You will pass the beautiful Mill Loch, the 15ft. Stone of Setter and the Vinquoy Chambered Cairn.
On a gorgeous day the best part of Sanday can be the sunny weather and clean stretches of sandy beaches. The wildlife is plentiful, so outdoors enthusiasts will be happily satisfied.
Like most of Orkney there is a plethora of archaeological sites worth visiting. Notable mention would be the Quoyness Chambered Cairn on the lush green El Ness peninsula.
