Vibrant positivist and dynamic, booming urban energy comes to mind when you think of Glasgow. Being Scotland’s largest city and one of Europe’s top cultural destinations, this flamboyant city is a far cry form the desperation and poverty that it was once synonymous with.

Pay our respects to the decadent era of the 1980's, who nursed Glasgow toward ultimate rejuvenation. The city now boasts a plethora of designer stores and shopping playgrounds for the rich, famous and fashionable, such as the areas around Buchanan Street, Argyle Street, Sauchiehall Street, St Enoch Centre and the Designer Exchange.

However, It's isn't all party dresses. Glaswegians or weggies are also fanatical about their football. The national stadium Hampden Park is in the city but it is at Ranger’s Ibrox and Celtic’s Park Head that passions are really ignited. Celtic are Catholic and the Rangers are Protestant so pick your side before you attend a match. Sporting rivalry runs deep!

Touring Glasgow is spread out over a wide area. Make the time to see it all. For those who relish in history and architecture, Glasgow offers Gothic beauty from the 12th century in some of Scotland’s only remaining intact medieval structures. On the other end of the spectrum you can pass various street corners who casually exhibit the genius hand of Art Nouveau architect Charles Rennie Macintosh. Art devotees will be astonished by the quirky creations found in the wildly famous Burrel Collection.
