The market town of Builth Wells lies on the banks of the River Wye. It has long been an important regional market town because of its location at the heart of 'sheep country'.
The original Builth castle was razed to the ground by the last Welsh prince, Llywellyn ap Gruffyd. It was rebuilt in the concentric style and later became the model for Edward Is iron ring castles though today only ruins remain.
Experience the sport of the Kings, and take a trip to Sun Falconry where you can have a hands on experience, flying the beautiful birds of prey in the fantastic surroundings of the Wales countryside.
