Llandovery, which is situated in the east of Carmarthenshire, is an attractive market town, which is dominated by medieval castle ruins. Nearby is another of Wales former spa towns Llanwrytd Wells: it makes a good base for exploring the central Wales, and is a locality where the Welsh language and traditions are diligently maintained.
