Pwllheli has two faces; the old town and a modern resort, which has developed around the five mile stretch of South Beach. This makes it the largest resort on Lleyn Peninsula and like Abersoch; the harbour is full of sail and powerboats. There is great sea fishing here and the waters teem with mackerel, flatfish, pollack and bass.
It is the only market town on The Llyn and is very much a Welsh town - Plaid Cymru; the Welsh nationalist party was formed here in 1925. It is a popular destination with the Welsh so you will hear both languages spoken freely about town.
Glasfryn Parc offers a great range of activities for all the family to do; they have an eight-lane bowling alley, go kart and quad bike circuits, farm shop, party room and bar. They also offer three self-contained cottages.
