The historical fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand sit in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are frequent winners of the Best Kept Village award. They are twinned with Porspoder in France and makes the ideal base to discover Cornwall from.
Very little seems to have changed over time here and the weight of the area's tourist industry hasn't made a mark on this pretty village. Expect to find washed out stone buildings, narrow streets and plenty of pubs and restaurants.
The villages also offers stretches of sandy beaches and tranquil forest walks. Swimming, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and fishing are also popular pursuits in the safe bay.
