The grand North Devon coast is good rambling country amidst traditional fishing villages and coves. Clovelly with its steep winding cobbled street is the most famous and busiest. Lynton and Lynmouth, the ‘gateway to Exmoor’, are a good base to explore the nearby Porlock area where there are good walks and the pristine thatched National Trust village of Selworthy. Inland is mainly agricultural although there are places of interest such as Tiverton, South Molton as well as Tamar Lakes and Rosemoor Gardens.
