This is one of those places that you can't believe really exists! With just 18 residents, the tiny windswept Lundy Island is a sanctuary for marine birds and field trip for all animal kind.
A car free zone, the only signs of civilisation in this bohemian land can be found in the one store and one pub. Little has changed here since the Marisco family established themselves on the island in the 12th century.
The Islands became known as the "kingdom of heaven” from its most famous inhabitant William Hudson Heaven, who bought the Lundy in 1834.
