Charles Kingsleys book written in the 1800's shares the same name with the beautiful town Westward Ho.

You will find on further investigation that Westward Ho; reveals two miles of sandy beach known as the Golden Bay, and is famous for its Pebble Ridge, which lies between the beach and Northam Burrows Country Park.

This is a family holiday destination at its best. The South Western Coastal Path runs through Westward Ho. While horses, cattle and sheep graze on the Burrows as they did on common land in days gone by.
