Discover the rural haven of the Quantock hills, which were a firm favourite with the early English Romantic poets. Taunton is probably best known as a cider making town and no trip would be complete without sampling the local tipple. Bridgewater was once one of the region’s most important ports and the streets are lined with grand Georgian houses.
