Somerset offers beautiful, unspoilt countryside and you can enjoy some of the best views of it from Windwhistle Hill, near Chard, which is the countys highest point. Fans of Arthurian legend should make straight for the massive prehistoric earthwork at Cadbury, which is believed to be the fabled Camelot. All of the local towns Chard, Crewkerne and Yeovil boast a host of ancient buildings, many dating from medieval times.
