You will get a good idea of how attractive Sidmouth is upon the discovery that it has around 500 listed buildings of historic or architectural interest. It is the largest resort on Devon's coast and is crammed full of Georgian and early Victorian homes. In York terrace you will find some of the best examples of stately Georgian properties.
The town is set in a stunningly picturesque area with a mile long beach, a range of wildlife that will thrill birdwatchers and the highlight, the crumbling red sandstone cliffs.
Sidmouth also hosts a Folk Festival, each August that has an impressive line up of music, storytellers, dance teams and workshps.
