Salt air, sunshine and fresh line caught fish for dinner is what the lovely old village Brixham is all about. There is a beauty here that leads one to think that this is Britain's version of the cascading Amalfi Coast!
One of the quieter locations on the Torbay coast, Brixham's pretty harbour is the perfect place to set off on a fishing expedition. In fact, in the mid 19th century, Brixham was Britain's busiest fishing port.
The village itself is geographically spit, with the narrow streets climbing up a steep hill to one part, the other the fishing harbour that lies half a mile below.
