Los Angeles, L.A. or The City of Angels as it is also known, is the largest city in California and is most famous for being the centre of the world's entertainment industry.

Surrounded by immense mountains ranges, forests, valleys and the Pacific Ocean, this city is where those with dreams come. With a population of more than 18 million, Los Angeles is packed!

There are so many things to see and do in L.A. There is Hollywood, the place where movies are made and Beverley Hills with upmarket shopping on Rodeo Drive, seeing the sights of and surfing at Venice Beach and Malibu, listening to live rock music on Sunset Blvd and jazz music in Hollywood. The possibilities are endless.

Not forgetting Universal Studio’s, located just north of Downtown. There are thrilling rides, an intense King Kong 3D experience, a special effects stage – see how they do it in the movies and the Universal CityWalk – expect the unexpected.

When travelling in L.A. it is important to know where you are and to not venture into areas where there is a gang presence. Gangs usually make their presence known by graffiti and some neighbourhoods are definitely no go areas! You will also encounter plenty of homeless people and beggars, just be aware of what is going on around you.
