The Don is a family run Guest House, set in the heart of Snowdonia, close to all the major attractions, Snowdon is a short drive away, Portmeiron, Porthmadog, The Festiniog Steam Railway, Llechwedd Slate Caverns, and many other places to explore.

There are stunning views to the rear of the property of the Moelwyns Mountain Range, which are easily accessible for walking. Guided walks could be arranged for the more adventurous travellers.

The Don has 3 bedrooms, 2 en-suite to the rear of the property with stunning views and 1 room to the front of the property with a private bathroom. There is a hospitality tray in each room and complimentary toiletries. Each room has a variety of combinations of accommodation, but we can accommodate families, single walkers, couples, friends. A travel cot is available for the smallest of travellers.

The Don provides a hearty cooked breakfast, evening meals on request and is licensed.

Getting There: The Don is easily accessible on all major road routes to Blaenau Ffestiniog from the North and the South. We are on the A470 Dolgellau Road, heading out of the town. There is a bus stop nearby, and the train station, with links to Llandudno, and even Birmingham New Street, is just minutes away. A pick-up can be arranged in advance if necessary. Car Parking can be limited at Don, but there is parking nearby (I would suggest checking in and then asking us where is best to park.
Special Features: The Don welcomes well behaved dogs, who can sleep in the rooms on their own bedding. There are no actually grounds for running the dogs, but plenty of areas nearby. The Don is open all year round, and has special christmas packages and New Year packages for a quiet break away from it all. The Don is a small establishment, and friendliness and hospitality are guaranteed to be part of your holiday. We are licenced for alcohol and can provide evening meals on request. Pack Lunches for walkers can be arranged too. Small groups of travellers can be accommodated, up to a maximum of 8 (we only have one twin room).
