The Bundaberg Quilters' Exhibition will be the eleventh time the quilters have placed their craft on display. The exhibition is held biennially and since its humble inception in 1986 has grown to be a major event on the Bundaberg calendar. The exhibition draws viewers attracted by a dazzling array of quilts none of which will have been exhibited before.
Viewers will be treated to a hall full of quilts exemplifying the wide range of techniques, styles and colours seen today in the patchwork and quilting craft. The "Quilt Divas", a series of caricatures, were a feature at the 2006 Exhibition - they subsequently were displayed in the 2006 Queensland Quilters Show and were the subject of an article in Australian Patchwork and Quilting.
Craft traders, trunk shows, demonstrations, market stalls and raffles will add interest. Corbett and Sons, a local sewing and craft trader, have donated the major door prize of a sewing machine. Homemade morning and afternoon available.
