The Jarrahdale Railway Heritage trail is a 7km walk trail which follows the old railway line built in 1872 to cart the timber from the mills of Jarrahdale.
The task of building and operating this line was daunting and a sense of history is evoked as the walk winds over the original track down the scarp.
Starting in Jarrahdale at Nettleton Road is a leisurely 2 hour walk through Jarrah and Wandoo woodlands and undulating farmland.
Wildflowers abound in season and the views are magnificent. Walkers are reminded to organise transport at the Pruden Road end to return to their cars.
