Balsporran Cottage B&B, in the heart of the Drumochter Hills, has very comfortable rooms, is tastefully decorated, with splendid views of valley and mountainsides. It is an ideal base for discovering the delights of this beautiful region. Experience high energy sports, ramble in the countryside enjoying the extensive wildlife, get to know its distinctive cuisine or simply chill out over a glass of wine and drink in the stunning views!

There are a wide range of activities and attractions in the surrounding area to keep the most energetic, and enthusiastic visitors busy for days. Munro Baggers can climb six Munroes from the door! There are many more within just a thirty minute drive.

Meals are prepared and served in the kitchen-dining room, which is the focal point of the house. They use their own organic grown vegetables and fruit (in season), homemade preserves, and they also bake their own bread.

Located on the Perthshire / Inverness-shire border, four miles south of Dalwhinnie, Balsporran sits at almost 1500 feet in the wild, Drumochter Pass, in the Cairngorm National Park. They are 200 yards from the Sustran Cycle Route (no 7), perfectly placed for cyclists. We are approximately 2 hours north of Edinburgh, 2 hours north east of Glasgow, and 1 hour south of Inverness. You'll be within 30 minutes of many area attractions. Situated off the A9 , four miles south of Dalwhinnie. They are between lay-bys 84 & 85. They share the same postcode as Dalwhinnie village, so if you use your sat nav that's where you'll end up!
