Southview Cottage is located in its own high walled listed garden, secluded and quiet yet less than 5 minutes walk from Stow-on-the-Wold Town centre, South View is the perfect place to stay to make the most of your Cotswold experience, located in the most central yet peacful area of Stow. This beautifully presented, detached Cotswold stone cottage provides a wonderful combination of old world charm and modern day luxury and amenity. The extensive renovations have been true to the cottage heritage and the Stow-on-the-Wold area, whilst at the same time providing high levels of comfort and style. The cottage is made of original Cotswold stone that keeps in the heat in the winter months and yet keeps the cottage cool in the warm summer months.

The cottage is not just a holiday rental but our second home, therefore it is furnished to our very own high standard with all the comforts of home.

Further Information
South View Cottage is situated in a secluded spot just outside of the Stow Town centre. A five minute walk down the neatby alley brings you to the edge of the high street which is dotted with antique shops, tea rooms, restaurants, interior design shops and many other individualistic shops, arranged around a central square composed almost entirely of old Cotswold stone properties, with several public houses, a library, police station and church.
History
Stow-on-the-Wold lies within the heart of the Cotswolds area and demonstrates outstanding natural beauty. It is the highest town in the Cotswold's at about 800 feet above sea level and was built mainly in the 17th and 18th century after the Battle of Stow - the last battle in the English Civil War, and has witnessed secluded growth and prosperity throughout the Iron, Stone and Bronze Ages. The Cotswolds Wool Town is situated just beside the Roman Fosseway set on a rounded hill giving it the Iron Age meaning of 'meeting place on the hill'.
