Lara Downs is an historic farm in Western Victoria producing luxury natural fibre based products using fine merino wool and mohair grown on the property.

The Lara Downs retail outlet in Fitzroy offers International and local tourists an opportunity to obtain unique quality products unavailable elsewhere.

Products include hand dyed fine kid mohair knitting yarn, embroidery threads, and hand dyed sliver (or top) for felting. Fine merino woollen yarns, plus merino top hand dyed ready for spinning and felting.

Knitting kits and hand dyed mohair curls for fibre art. Hand dyed silk yarns, plus mohair and silk blends are also a feature. Ladies accessories include silk, mohair and mohair blend scarves and wraps. Luxurious kid mohair throws are also available.
