Until 2004, Durham Tees Valley Airport was predominately used by holiday charters and business flights to London or Amsterdam, with BMI and KLM respectively. This has recently changed, with Ryanair offering cheap flights to Dublin, and BMI baby's many new flights, providing low cost flights from Teesside & Durham to some of Europe's more popular destinations.
