Durham Tees Valley Airport (known as Teesside Airport until 2004) is the closest airport for the North York Moors, Teesside & South Durham. Located mid-way between Darlington & Yarm, close to the A66 main road, the airport is easy to drive to from the A1 to the west or A19 to the east.

BMI and KLM scheduled flights operate from the airport, to London Heathrow and Amsterdam. Different flight schedules apply to summer and winter.
