Not far from Bundaberg, flanked by the Burnett River, the Elliot River State Park, Booyal Forest, Goodnight Scrub National Park and the Promisedland is Cordalba State Forest. The Bruce highway neatly dissects it and runs through to the charming town of Childers. Most of these parks are dry rainforest with tall hoop pines, spotted gum and forest red gum to name a few. Cordalba State Forest is a must for bird lovers being rich in bird and butterfly life.
