The Air-line Shuttle Bus provides a regular service from the airport to both Loughborough and Derby rail stations. Rainbow 5 links to trains at Nottingham and Long Eaton rail stations.

The closest mainline stations are Derby & Nottingham. Both lie approximately the same distance from the airport and offer good rail connections with the rest of the UK. A bus link travels between the train stations & the airport.

By coach & bus
National Express Coaches depart from Nottingham, Leicester and Derby to the rest of the UK. Coach destinations also covered include Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Coventry, Warwick Parkway, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.
Local buses link air passengers to the towns and villages surrounding the airport and to the nearby cities of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. A new Skylink service to the airport started on 4th May 2004.

An hourly minibus shuttle also provides connections to and from the airport with Midland Mainline and Central Trains National Rail services at Loughborough station.
