Derbyshire, Chesterfield & Nottingham
The Peak District & North Midlands are easy to travel to, being well served by all forms of public transport, which include excellent rail, bus and coach links to the rest of the UK.
Birmingham and Manchester are the closest international airports, offering 1,000's of short and long haul flights.
The North Midlands are located inland but have easy access to the north coast ferry ports at Liverpool, Hull and Fleetwood, all within two hours drive.
The Peak District National Park suffers frequent traffic jams - it has extensive bus and rail services both into and within the park. Cycling and walking are actively promoted as green alternatives to other more environmentally unfriendly means of travel.
