Quamby Estate is located at Hagley west of Launceston and offers a challenging golf course. The course is a delight and an inspiration for players of every ability and experience.
In every sense this is a breathlessly beautiful parkland nine-hole course. Its beautifully groomed fairways, tees and greens are adorned by English ash, elms, hornbeams, ancient oaks, massive poplars, cypresses and cottonwoods.
There are nine lakes, rocky cascades, creeks and three quite awesome "Scottish" bunkers. These fastidiously shaped and maintained bunkers are pure white from specially filtered and refined Scottsdale sands - a major feature of this course.
Twice round this nine hole 6,847 metre course commands a par 76. At 576 metres (the eighth hole) is the longest par five in Tasmania.
