The Waddamana Power Station in Tasmania's central highlands is now a fascinating hydro-electric museum.

It is a tribute to the beginning of integrated hydro-electric development in Tasmania, featuring an array of machinery, memorabilia, photographs and artefacts.

In 1916 electricity generated by harnessing the power of falling water " hydro-electricity", first came to Hobart from Waddamana Power Station.
