Travelling to Leicestershire by air, rail, road or sea is easy from the UK and overseas.
Flying to the Midlands area, around the towns of Northampton, Coventry and Leicester is fairly easy. Nearby, Birmingham International Airport has transatlantic, long haul, European and UK flights. Plus East Midlands, Luton and Stansted with budget flights are all within an hours' drive. The big two - Gatwick and Heathrow , with 1,000's of flights - are within about a 100 miles - under 2 hours drive.
If arriving in the UK by ferry, the closest port, Hull, is approximately 120 miles from Northampton. This port offers a choice of ferries to Europe. Good roads and trains connect Leicester and surrounds to the south coast ports also.
Leicester is located on the M1 and is served by three junctions - 15, 15A and 16. The city of Coventry has an award winning, elevated Ring Road with good views of the city centre and good access to all areas of the city.
