It is easy to drive to Lancashire - a number of motorways and good A roads criss-cross the region. Just east of the coastal towns of Heysham and Morecambe along the A6 lies the town of Lancaster. The M6 runs alongside the A6 at Lancaster, southwards towards Preston, passing Blackpool on the west coast, which can be reached via the M55. The M65 allows easy access to Nelson passing through Blackburn and Burnley in the West, while the M6 continues south towards Wigan. At Preston the M61, which ends at Farnworth provides a link with Bolton on the A676.
Take care on the Isle of Man if driving during the TT or other motorsport events which use the Island's roads.
