The Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia road and rail bridge cross the Menai Strait, joining the Island of Anglsey to the Welsh mainland, just out of Bangor. The much-improved A55 expressway now offers a good road link into north Wales, the midlands and the north-west of England.
