Saffron Walden, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Ely in Cambridgeshire are easy to travel to from the UK, Ireland and many overseas destinations.

Choose from many scheduled flights from UK and European destinations to East Anglia from nearby International Airports, Stansted, Luton and Norwich. No-frills flights mainly land at Stansted and Luton. Long haul connecting flights from 100's of destinations worldwide can be caught at Amsterdam or Manchester. Alternatively the major airports at Gatwick and Heathrow are approximately 100 miles to the south of Cambridge.

Sail to East Anglia's port at Harwich, about 70 miles from Cambridge, for ferries to Denmark, Germany and Sweden. A twice daily ferry also sails to the Dutch port at the Hook of Holland. Alternatively, the port of Hull is approximately 140 miles north of Cambridge, with daily overnight ferry crossings from either Rotterdam or Zeebrugge.

Various rail operators run intercity trains from Cambridge to London and most UK towns and cities. Local buses and National Express coaches travel to destinations throughout East Anglia.

Drive to Cambridge and area, on major motorways or A roads. The M11 joins the west of Cambridge to the London orbital M25 and Stansted Airport. The A14 runs from the M6 - M1 junction, crossing the A1 near Huntingdon, then past Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, and Ipswich to Felixstowe port. Haverhill and Saffron Walden are easily reached via A11 and M11 from the centre of Cambridge.
