Inverness, on the Scottish mainland is the main airport for the Highlands & Islands. Inverness has flights to London, Edinburgh and Glasgow plus regional services within the Highlands and Islands. Helicopters, charter & business flights also use the airport.
This is one part of Scotland where the easiest, sometimes only way to travel is by plane. The airport is essential for travel & freight to remote communities on the Islands & across the Highlands but is also a hub for visitors taking island hopping flights.
