Trains

The Bristol to Penzance mainline, passes through Exeter, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Totnes and Plymouth. Branchlines then connect to Torquay and Paignton, Exmouth, Gunnislake and Looe.

First Great Western FGW is the main train operator in the South Devon and Dartmoor region, running regular services out of London Paddington through much of the West Country.

Wessex Trains run many trains across the south-west of England, the Midlands, south Wales and the south coast of England; however it does not provide direct routes to London. Rail services are available from Plymouth to either Cornwall in the west or to Brighton in the east, passing Exeter and Exmouth.
