Flights

To travel to Strathclyde by air you have the option of flying to Glasgow International Airport or Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Both have excellent onward transport to the city and rest of Strathclyde.

Direct flights from the USA arrive at the BAA operated International Airport at Paisley, eight miles west of Glasgow city centre. Glasgow International Airport is the west coast Scottish hub for direct scheduled flights to and from Europe plus holiday charters and cheap flights to Ireland and Europe with various no-frills airlines.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is 32 miles, 45 mins drive from Glasgow city centre, with direct and connecting flights to national and international destinations. For cheap flights, the major budget airline, Ryanair, flies into Glasgow Prestwick Airport with further no-frills airlines including Air-Scotland, Globespan and bmibaby also flying to the rest of the UK and Europe.
